How to Create a Slot Schedule

A slot is a narrow opening in something. It can be used to hold a card, a key, or other object. People can also use slots to make appointments or schedule meetings. When creating a custom slot type, you must provide the name of the utterance that should be mapped to the slot. You can also select a regular expression that will be used to match the utterance. For example, a travel bot might have a regular expression that matches flight codes to book airplane tickets. You can add the slot by selecting Add Slot from the Utterance page or from the Slots tab. You can also create a new slot type from the Slots page by clicking Add Slot Type and providing a name. Once a slot type is created, it can be inserted into an utterance from the Slots tab or from the Utterance tab.
